how far down these caves went! I think we had our massages in the center of the earth!

The tombs which felt like on the moon...where we got our massages

ERIN!!?? Are you coming? Don't leave me down here alone! LOL!!
This is the top of the spa resort where we had our massages...wow!

The little boy who owned this puppy, named him "Fraulicha" which means little strawberry! Kids are truly the cutest of all...how adorable he was to name his little puppy this! I need to adopt an orphan...like yesterday! I cannot wait!!!
Santorini is a wonderful haven away from the world!!! I love it here! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!!! So, yesterday Erin and I arrived by boat, most definitely scored on thee most amazing cave villa called, "Diamond" which is pretty much equivalent to an ultra wealthy person's house! I'll post photos when I get home. So, it's usually $380/night but we got it for $200!! OH MY!! You can google it online under "Alexander's Botique Cave villas (something like that). We met Alexander and he keeps trying to take Erin and I out for drinks or a nice dinner and we both keep declining...getting kind of embarrassing but truly we only came to spend time with one man...Stratos. Otherwise, we want to escape and spend alot of sister time and sweet concentrated time with our God. We've been in awe of His creation!! Such a creative God He is!!
So, after dumping our things in the villa we rented a car and drove down to the end where everyone on the island goes to watch the amazing sunsets. We had dinner at the bottom of the cliffs and our table was at the waters edge (right where they filmed, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."...lame movie but amazing shots of exactly where Erin and I are staying). Anyway, we ordered some kind of special fish called, "Berit"??? and the guys got in the boat, went out and caught the fish, and grilled it right in front of us while we enjoyed olives, baked feta, greek salad, and Ouzo (a Greek liquour)...pretty foul! It was the last night this restaurant was open for the season. Anyway, the fish was the best thing I've tasted in all my entire life, and im seriously thinking of never coming home so i can live off the fish here or else I'm wondering if I'll never like fish at home ever again! Just kidding...seriously though, you all just HAVE to come here and taste it! There are alot more people here than I thought. I guess last weekend was the last weekend of the summer season...i was thinking it would be totally deserted but there are quite alot of tourists and locals out and about, especially with such beautiful weather!!!
I got so tired at 8pm and woke up at 2 am that I'm wondering if jet lag hit me a bit late? Erin and I woke up early and headed down to the south part of the island for the beach (since it's warm and sunny here we were hoping to maybe go swimming?). On the way down we went to coffee and spent about 3 hours in this little town. When it was time to go we couldn't find our keys (hmm...) not after too long we found the keys sticking out of the car door. Again, I feel so safe here.
So, as we drove Erin noticed this spa so we detoured there. Turns out that we had the most amazing experience there!! There were two massager girls (can't spell massouse???) this place sat on top of one of the cliffs and was an OLD winery with caves that went deep into the mountain lined with candles, white lights, rose petals, and the most beautiful classical music echo'd throughout. This place left us both in amazing wonderment and awe!! Erin and I got simultaneous HONEY WRAPPED massages in one of the caves!!!! So, first the girls handed us robes and thongs, yes the kind you put on your feet, AND the kind you put over your butt crack....aka butt floss. (oh brother...lots of giggles). THEN, they scrubbed us down with an exfolient, scratchy but interesting. After this Erin and I walked down one of the cave passages...naked (uh, not comfy but they acted like this was normal so I was trying to go with the flow) to a jacuzzi tub lined with rose petals where we showered off the scratchy stuff. After this, we returned to the beds lined with plastic and they poured HOT HONEY all over our bodies...AHHHHH HEAVENNNNN!!!!! Felt absolutely wonderful and I've never felt something so awesome in my entire life! We flipped over and I quickly learned that the full body massage included a boob massage. I was on the very absoute edge of "busting" out in laughter and thoughts of Chris Rock in the movie Rush Hour popped into my mind as I imagined him experiencing the Chinese culture with Jackie Chan...I was in rare form...able to control my laughter, squinted my eyes shut and waited UNRELAXED until she moved off my chest!! I tried hard to not feel violated and think I've succeeded so far. Oh my. I was able to greatly appreciate the butt massage though!! NICE!!
After an hour hot honey massage, did i mention how awesome it was?!! They wrapped us in plastic, covered our bodies with heavy blankets and left erin and I to relax to this stunningly nastalgic emotional classical music that deeply moves your soul. After quite some time erin and I twisted our necks around to see each other and bursted out with crazy laughter, and decided that we feel like, "honey mummies wrapped in a tomb on the moon!" It was unlike anything we could have ever imagined! ..sound cheesy?? That's the best I can explain it, and it doesn't communicate accurately how amazing the experience was!! UGH!!! After this they led us (IN OUR ROBES) down the hall to an indoor heated pool lined with candles and with a lady waterfall statue lined with candles and rose petals, as well as ice cold water. We sat in there for a long time and joked and laughed about our "massage experience." Erin said it's very normal here and that's why she'll NEVER have a guy massage her...and as you could imagine there are plenty of guy massage people.
Well, after that we showered and took a few more pictures, talked with the girls a bit, and noticed our skin felt like a baby's butt...softer actually. AMAZING!! In the Bible somewhere it talks about girls who would prepare themselves for their king for months on end in oils, baths, and herbs...this is what it felt like! I think Erin and Stratos are coming here when they are married. Actually this place holds weddings and we saw where they'd stand...PRISTINE!! She's thinking of having her wedding there!! OH YAH BABY...BRING ME BACK!!! haha! YOu all gotta come here...seriously! I gotta come back!!!
I have a few more minutes before my computer time runs out. Stratos is in France, and his game is on tv tonight so bummer...we'll have to skip out on dinner with Alexander again...darn! haha! Can't wait to watch! Otherwise, the major downer here is that everyone smokes here and my throat is bothered, allergies like crazy. Erin learned that next year Greece is making it illegal to smoke indoors and that made Erin go crazy with excitement, as she's moving here after she and Stratos marry next June!
The plan now is to go study!! Then dinner (just erin and i), then hang out in our cave villa, and bed early. I can't believe im about to run a marathon! It's been 3 months since my last one and well I'm not sure how this one will go. My right knee is buggin' a bit, so I took today off working out. I still feel so bloated and ick, but it's definitely better than before.
That's all for now. Keep in touch! I'll post again when I can. I'm trying to do it daily so i can remember all the details to include. The pictures are awesome!!
Hope you all keep Obama in your prayers, and our country. Nothing has made me more patriotic than being here, in a government run by socialism. The people seem hard (not with me as an american but in all whom they interact with). They don't smile, they don't say hello, the women especially are mean and angry (Stratos' words), and it makes me wonder if it has to do with the limited opportunity they have here to do what they love, dream of, or are good at. It makes me feel so much more passionate about living in the best country in the world...the one were about to forsake and leave behind...the one that is free and for the people. Things are going to change drastically...pray hard. But it is an exciting time to be alive and my God is ALWAYS in charge, always in control and nobody can change that ever...very solid and secure is it to be in His arms now and forever!
Miss you!!
Love Jen

It sounds spectacular, amazing, yummy, dreamy, beautiful, calming, relaxing, hysterical, inspiring, and God loving all at the same time! It's much fun reading about your days in Greece. I think it's a great idea to write down all of your thoughts and experiences right away so you don't forget all of those small details! That one guy who insists on taking you and Erin to dinner would give me the willies too! Speaking of getting your boobs massaged...hahaha....that's so freakin' funny!! While in the Philippines, my cousin Ann and I decided to get massages. The only open appointment was a couples massage...so I was already giggling about the fact that we were naked (under our own blankets of course!) in the same room together. So it's nice a quiet with zen music playing when the girl who is giving Ann a massage says (in a Filipino accent, I love it!) "Maam would you like me to massage your breasts?" She says, "Uhhhh, no that's okay." Surprisingly I was able to not bust out in an all out laughter!...but we did once they left the room! Your spa story just brought back that funny memory. But I agree the butt massage rocks! I'll pray for your knee and your upcoming marathon...you're going to do great! Zandra
I loved your blog, Jenny. I love massages myself. I wish you good luck in your marathon and I wish Stratos good luck in his game. Don't forget the small details please. I love Greek Salad and you are making hungry. Maggie
